The joy of living the realization of a dream
I believe there is nothing that defines us as much as our dreams. Because they represent our deepest desires about what we really want to be and do. However the realization of these dreams often seems impossible to us, and as such, we grew up projecting a future that is economically “safe”, but often without the inclusion of our dreams.
When we are asked what we want to be, the answer is often directed to what we believe needs to be done to get that “security”. And so some dreams die without ever being realized and others are born with no possibility of flourishing. But our dreams don’t need to be just an unanswered desire.
Some time ago I met someone who made me realize that our dreams are really our future, when we believe deeply enough in them and do everything to achieve them. This person is living his dream and the joy that flows from him is undeniable. He’s a very private person and probably will not be too happy with me talking about him (lol). But what I mean is that with him I learned to look at life in a different perspective. My friend taught me that achieving a dream is much simpler than I thought.
My mistake has always been to look at the end result (of the dream) which can be overwhelming and scary. With him, I learned that no matter how big your dream is, you can always break it apart into smaller pieces and little by little you can work towards the final result. At one point he told me about the idea of opening a barber shop and six months later he had one. Still small but beautiful and well-organized.
As many of you may know, denim-clothing has its origins in the United States and at the time of its appearance, it was characterized as clothing for workers because of the hard composition of the fabric. But over the years it has become a fashion item for all ages.
So what I want to say is that little by little you can go far. All major brands, companies or buildings have at their base a small step. What you need to realize is that each dream always starts with a small step.
I hope you enjoyed the post and do not forget to dream and always fight for the fulfillment of your dreams.
